As the Iranian military was preparing for an attack by the United States on January 8th a Plane bound for Ukraine was shot down by an Iranian missile, reportedly by accident. The flight left from Tehran's airport shortly before being struck down. On the flight were 176 passengers including 57 Canadians who were flying to get a connection.


The Iranian authorities hid their involvement in the incident for three days before coming forward with the truth. This admission sparked widespread protests across Iran. The Totalitarian state dissolved the protests with tear gas and live ammunition.


The Iranian Supreme Leader called the crash a "Bitter Accident" before going on to claim that Iran's enemies abroad had seized the crash to attempt to destabilize the regime.


He went on to say that Iran may consider entering a negotiation, but not with America.





After Ayatollah Ali Khamenei had already called the President a "Clown" during a sermon on Friday, making many critiques of the United States and the West in general.


Trump responded in a tweet, saying ""The so-called 'Supreme Leader' of Iran, who has not been so Supreme lately, had some nasty things to say about the United States and Europe,"


He went on to say '"Their economy is crashing, and their people are suffering. He should be very careful with his words!"


Khamenei also said the mass funerals for the killed General who died in a U.S. airstrike earlier this month, prove that the Iranian people support the Islamic Republic despite its recent trials. He stated that the "cowardly" killing of Qassem had deprived them of a brilliant commander in the battle against ISIS.


In response to the death, Iran launched a volley In reaction to the death at American hands the Iranians launched a volley of missiles targeting U.S. troops in Iraq, without causing life threatening injury. Khamenei claimed that the strike made a major "blow to America's image". He went on to pledge that the true punishment would be the forcing of American troops out of the Middle East.
